Here's an interesting article on how damage to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex - an area in the front of the brain, below the eyes - affects difficult moral judgments. Mark my words, this is a study that's going to be embraced by defense attorneys. I think a half-decent lawyer could get anybody acquitted with this one.
