Happy birthday to Canada, Susan. What will you be doing to celebrate? I have a (undoubtedly misguided) picture of you all sitting around a moose's head dousing yourselves in maple syrup!
We usually reserve the moosehead/syrup ritual for church calendar occasions. Actually, it was a typical Canadian day - most of us went quietly about our business. A few rowdies lit fireworks, but only in a very brief window immediately after sunset.
What about those lovely Mounties?! That's what I always think of when I think of Canada -- those redwoods! Dressing up in women's clothing, panties and a bra. ;-) (showing my age here)

Happy day Canada, bet you haven't got any holey stones though!
