Watch Out for Those Murderous Englishmen!

We need to warn Skint about this! Debra http://the-deblog.blogspot.com/ has an item this morning about a post on Keeper of the Snails: The Anchorite Cell . In the little community of Handbridge apparently it is still the law that it is perfectly acceptable to shoot by arrow any Welsh person caught within the walls after the gates are shut. Skint, stay away from Handbridge!!

Huh! The english arrows are cool. When I obsessively read Robin Hood as a child, there was loads about how you make arrows, how Robin got them to fly true, etc. At that time, most of the scorn was reserved for the French with their crossbows; never a match for the english longbow.
And of course, later on, Henry V and Agincourt.
No, there is not much wrong with the English arrows, and I speak as a bit of a Welshie, genetically.

(Sian, we need you -- tell them about arrows, I know you are a world expert on the topic, by osmosis if nothing else.)
