Petrona: Placeism in the global network

I'm not clever enough to put two links into one entry and I need to mention the helpful lady in England who reached out to offer me advice. She has an essay which is well worth reading - Petrona: Placeism in the global network in which she talks about the need we all have for a sense of place and how blogging helps us create our own unique small communities within the 'worldwide web'.

Susan, thank you so much for your generous comment on Petrona and for your lovely posting about my article. I am blushing but kind of thrilled that you took the trouble!

Debra, thanks for the tip! I have learned something now. Am off to try it right away. I love to comment on other people's posts but I can never remember where I have commented so I expect there are all sorts of strange never-finished conversations out there (probably that nobody much was reading in the first place, thankfully -- but I am interested in whether anyone ever answers the things I ask!)

I'm so dull-witted it took me part of the day to figure this out! Thank you again, Debra! I was surprised to see the number of times you kind souls referred to my babyblog.
